Windham Foundation

Windham Foundation founder Dean Mathey was passionate about education. His commitment lives on through the Scholarship Program which, in over 40 years, has provided financial assistance to more than 6,700 Windham County students.

In partnership with the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation, the Foundation annually selects qualified Windham County students from a pool of more than 350 applications. The average amount of an award for 2010 will be $1,000 per student and may be renewable. All awards are paid directly to the institution of study and not to the individual student. While most students enroll in traditional college level institutions, the Foundation occasionally provides support for individuals who attend a trade school with a certificate program.

Funding Amount: $1,000
